Managing Recurring Schedules

View and manage ongoing donor gifts all in one place.

Recurring donations allow donors to give automatically on a scheduled basis, such as weekly or monthly. In iDonate, you can view and manage recurring donation schedules from a central location, making it easy to support donors and maintain accurate records.

What is a Recurring Schedule?

A recurring donation schedule defines how often and how much a donor gives over time. Each schedule contains:

  • Donation amount
  • Frequency of the gift
  • Expiration date
  • Payment method used
  • Status of the recurring donation

Each individual charge generated by the schedule appears as its own donation record.

Managing a Schedule

  1. Navigate to Reporting > Recurrings.
  2. Locate the recurring schedule and click its corresponding table row.
  3. On the schedule detail page you can edit:
    1. Next Payment Date
    2. Frequency
    3. Expiration Date
    4. Designation(s)
    5. Donor Pays Fees
  4. Additional details can be altered via the Actions menu:
    1. Cancel Schedule: Cancel a schedule on behalf of a donor.
    2. Request Donor Update: Sends an email to the donor asking them to review and update their information.
    3. Update Billing Address: Allows you to update the donor's address.
    4. Update Details:
      1. Hide Name from Public Display: Makes a donation anonymous.
      2. Show Name to Fundraiser: Shows the donor name on P2P channels.
  5. Click Save.
