How to Successfully process an Organization Name Change

Sometimes an organization goes through a rebrand, or they change their name. Here are all the places we'd need to go to update their organization name when we received requests for this action.

Places where that will need to be updated:

• GMSNext:

  • Org name

  • Organization Page slug

    • Note: This will break most/all of their active P2P, Hosted Page, and Event links. Donors will need to know the new one if the org has created any written collateral for these pages/events.

    • PPS - link is automatically updated in iDonate to the new slug of the updated org name once it's changed in GMSNext
    • Example below:

• Accounting System

  • (contract, subscription name)

• HubSpot CRM

  • Org Contact name change

• CardConnect Account
  • If an organization has a CardConnect account with us, they'll need to submit a name change request via their CardPointe Portal.
