Understanding Automated Emails

Get to know the emails that go out to donors.

iDonate includes built-in automated email features in the form of Donations Receipts for all donations, Event sign-ups, and a series of nurturing emails for P2P Programs.

Donation Receipts

Each time a donor completes a donation, an automated receipt email is sent to confirm the transaction. Donation receipts are fully customizable and play an important role in donor communication, record keeping, and tax documentation.

The Receipt Editor allows full customization of the Gift Receipt. For more information, visit Managing & Editing Receipts.

P2P Nurturing Emails

Peer-to-peer fundraising programs include a series of automated nurturing emails designed to support participants throughout their fundraising journey. These emails are based on established campaign best practices and can be customized to align with your organization’s messaging and goals.

Organization Notification Emails

In addition to donor-facing emails, copies of certain automated emails can be sent to internal recipients for awareness and tracking purposes.

To add notification recipients:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Organization Settings > Contacts > Notification Emails.
  2. Click New Notification.
  3. Enter an email address and click Save Changes.
  4. To stop receiving notifications, click the X to the right of the email address.
